Mr Curnow

I've sent around 70 letters including my CV to companies in hope of an apprenticeship, rang a number companies and I've even been looking on apprenticeships.gov.uk but still nothing. Now that I've completed level 2 I thought the time was right to train on site because I would find myself at a dead end if I stay on at college, I'm also looking to train for the NVQ3, except that I will need to be employed in the trade to start it, I don't think I will get on it as the deadline to enrol is in a month and I've been looking for an apprenticeship for a long time.

I would like to know what other things I could try, I don't understand how some people from college got onto apprenticeships as they haven't been looking for long. I must be doing something wrong, to be looking this long without any luck at all.
