Anyone own a cherokee or commander? if so can you let me know your thoughts about them please? cheers.

had a cherokee. not the grand. the earlier version. best car i ever had, but the 4L petrol is thirsty. 15mpg at best.

I have been looking at the 3.0 litre diesels tel and auto boxes, I was going to get anothershogun, but the Jeep looks better for the money, it would be nice to have a few reviews, I appreciate yours thanks very much mate.

I had 2005 Grand, with the 2.7 Mercedes Diesel Engine. It was Auto, Did about 24 around town, sometimes 30 on a run. I liked it. I was really good value compared to a RR or an X5 at the time. I have read of others having issues (injectors mainly) but mine was good for the 40k we did in it. Just consumables really.

I would love a range rover Clive, but cannot afford a decent one mate and other than those we don't make affordable 4x4s here, and I won't get into politics in this thread mate if you don't mind.

Sorry mike but I will.

You give out all kinds of crxp about how good things would be under lord tony Blair but when it comes to your own choices you are like the politicians you become a hypocrite.

Happy christmas

had cherokee and a 2800 shogun diesel. much preferred the cherokee.
I had a 2800 shogun as well Tel and loved it, the prices of them these days are terrible, for ten grand you will struggle to get one less than 8 years old, for a range rover 10 grand will get you a 10 year old if your lucky, the jeep seems a better price. I have looked at the land rover discovery as well, they look nice, but again 10 grand for a 9 or 10 year old.
