Hello guys,

I have compleated all my courses and qualifications ( 2330, nvq level 3 , am2, 2391, 17th edition, 2377) and I should get my JIB card soon... So i was thinking- what could I do next for further career development?

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

pv wont take off for another 10 years its not affordable enough for house holders yet

Your right, the big boys (energy suppliers) are being lined up by Government to cartel the lot. Just another money spinners for the training center's at ÂŁ800 a pop.

The big boys will push in through consumers doors with 0% finance.

Steer clear imo, you only have to see the adverts on e-bay.

Where does this originate from or it is a new one ?

Yes that the one the one that takes 5 years training, at least 2-3 years experience as firstly an electrician then as a supervisor, the 2382-10 or 20 course, the 2391-10 course, now days at least a level 3 NVQ in electrical installation, a letter from a company stating your competance, ..........................about 7-8 years I would imagine to complete that course.

check the sjib website. you have to be 2 years out of your time, then you do a distance learning course for part 1 then for part 2 you do 4 job cards, once that is complete u go and do a one day skills test.
