Any ideas on joining a 16mm T&E.

Its fed from a main switch up into a flat. Its mechanical sound just to short to reach new board. it needs to be joined under the floor.

But we are lost on best practice for this.
 
use 16mm cable link, clamp properly and wrap with PVC tape

Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately the member in question hasn't been active in some time and this discussion dates back to 2011. In the UK we have a few options for joining cables of this type and size, but wrapping with PVC tape would not be permitted as a suitable means of insulation and protection.
 
So many names have disappeared from this thread.
I wonder what happened to spartykus, I liked him.
Pity we have to see the given name 'sausage'. I'm sure who ever it was was a right pita, but still, it can't be nice for them to see that if that pop back on every now and then.

It shouldn't say 'sausage' it should say 'Knob head, nob head, door handle head'. Even if they were horrible, they shouldn't have to look at that.
