Hi everyone

Is it just me or does everyone lose their messages when they post because they have been logged out? Honestly, every Bl**dy time, maybe I'm just a bit too slow?

Anyway, note to self - remember to copy text before clicking submit!

Ok, sorry about that, need a little advice.

Had to link out a couple of light switches in a kitchen to enable me to provide local switching in conservatory and utility room. The switches were fed and neutrals linked through in the normal way. I linked out using Ideal push connectors, wrapped and covered the old metal patrice box with a blank.

My customer now wants to cover the location of this joint with a wall cabinet. I am aware that this joint needs to be accessible but given that this is not going to be possible wondered what the best solution maybe - crimps in an insulated box?

Hope that this makes sense and thanks in advance for any assistance.

*When you log in make sure that you check the "remember me" box and then you won't be dropped out.;)

As Matty has said Wago's are the rage, through crimps are ok (not my personal preference as they are really designed for flexible stranded wire) but as long as you use ratchet crimpers and most guys finish off with heat-shrink over the joint

Cheers m4tty, the Ideal connectors I have used look pretty much the same as the Wago ones, or do you mean the lever close type? I'm assuming that the actual box is intregral to the permanent status you mention?
