Hello,

Wondered if anyone could help. Im jointing a SWA incoming feed under the floor in a bungalow.

Is it ok to use 6mm T+E in a joint box and take it 2 metres up the wall to the new position in the incoming supply of the dis board?

Would appreciate your comments.

Thanks

Craig

you can down the size of a cable, but not just because it suits you

i've run larger cables from the source of supply to a motor on site, the cable size required for the motor was smaller than the supply cable we put in, so we dropped the cable size (to the original rated size) via a junction box local to the motor, then ran the tails straight into the motors connection box.

btw. the reason we ran a larger cable was to accomodate voltage drop over the long run required
