The additional alarm job in the Domestic property I've been questioning on here, has taken another twist...

Therefore have a question to an idea I initially dismissed. I now need to extend, via a joint, a 3Core & Earth to interconnect with the new additional alarm. Is this permitted seeing as it is a signal cable?

If Yes, would Butt Crimps be suitable or is there a better & more reliable method?
Thanks

crimps, or wagos, no problem assuming it's a standards set up with 230v interconnection on the 3 core

Cheers!!!
Yep, standard 230v Mains from board on its own way. All 3 Interconnected at the moment in 3C, but need to add another. Considered Radiolink due to lack of accessibility to floor above, but now they are bulking at price...so back to 3C Interconnect but will need to joint the last interconnecting 3C off 2nd floor to new alarm required on 1st floor to maintain a loop & not a spur.
Thanks for response Mate!

as joints will be classed as inaccessible, got to be crimps or wagos. joints should be heat shrinked or boxed to preserve double insulation though
