Pretty simple question really,
Is it ok to use existing holes in joists when running in the cables?

If you get asked what area of the joist that can be used , the answer is between .2 and .4 off the span off the joists , supposed to be the optimum area for least stress , oh and also the hole size is to be no more than one fifth the height off the joist , I was asked these Questions on a visit......

You sure that 0.25 is one fifth mate? ;)

Ey, there's nowt wrong wi yorkshire people. There's some good 'uns. There's my brother, cousin and uncle - that's 2 for a start. Daz
 
Apparently in summer the Bel Air pub should serve real ale.

Mmm, dark porter is my favourite too, but sadly quite rare here in Guernsey. Got quite ruined on it one Christmas in my work lunchtime. Thankfully it was a job where I didn't have to drive!
