Discuss June FIT cut delayed in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

In my humble opinion, seeing as he has stated "Having listened carefully to industry (sic), we are looking at scope for pushing back a little the next proposed reduction in solar feed-in tariffs," He cannot delay a cut by a just a few days, it would look very stupid and expose the glaring error of missing the 40 day deadline.
To retain any credibility, he will need to say that DECC are closley monitoring the (low) installation figures and will only act to cut the tariff (giving 40 days notice) when appropriate.
Given that the installation figures are unlikely to improve dramatically, a cut in the tariff could be staved off for a very long time.

Doubt that to be honest ...... he can start the 40 day ball rolling any time , you will see people will relax again then bang the 40 day rush will start!!!! the general public will wait as they have been doing then closer to the deadline the more they think right I better do this all hell will break lose

Watching PQs online - lots of question/answer avoidance going on by Ed Davey and Greg Barker. No clarification as yet on the proposed degression postponement other than Mr Davey saying that they will respond "shortly"....

Just reading his tweets today, the idiot Greg really makes me agressive !

@GregBarkerMP: Lively questions + lots of positive #DECC messages to get out. Time to talk up #solar & build confidence together with the industry.

Confidence ... !! His only just realised its time to talk up, after kicking us in the you know what !!! I guess his admitting his talked down Solar ...

Greg Barker AND Ed Davey both make me feel aggressive.

Utter liars and both a burden on green industry. I can't wait to vote these clowns out.

Why cant they just say the Feed in Tariff wont be cut on July 1st and that the tweaking Ed Davey referred to will be a delay to the cut. But we don't know if its a few days, weeks or a few months yet. My guess is that it will be a few weeks to a month or maybe only a slight cut to the tariff of a few p/kWh.

Looks like it'll be a month which will save face but not really be much use to anyone. I wish they would just get on with it.
