i have a creda tcr2 tumble dryer and wasnt drying clothes properly, so done some reading and was able to check element which 1 out of 3 elements was intact, so i replaced at a cost of ÂŁ50, now the water is not going into the container so after researching again i think its the water pump which i have located at the back of the machine but its now another ÂŁ30. does any of youy guys got any good advice for me in fault finding on appliances. my sister has a service contract on her tumble dryer and the guy comes and uses laptop.

so real question is can i get thiis same information anywhere or does fixing appliANCES come with expierience.. thanks

aye think psyed ÂŁ180 for it $50 new element, neads new filter ÂŁ13 and water pump ÂŁ26 and no gurantees something else wont go or if i assembled properly.... and dont add in time as im a bore anyway.

if you did one of the ten day dixons courses, do you think you would learn a lot from these people or has anyone did this course????

pump is ÂŁ18,filter is ÂŁ9,heater is ÂŁ28, dixon course not worth it really u will learn more from getting cheap machine off flea bay for spares or repair one then ask advice if get stuck once done u get hang of it, i do recon machines pay 10 quid for them parts cost no more than 20 quid then sell for 120 quid, cookers are easy pay 20 quid for one with ceramic hob put main oven element in for 5 quid sell for 200 quid

Just to highlight it is not just getting cheap parts its the labour cost hence every time the letting agent I do work for says can you have a look at a built in oven I always refuse as I keep repeating if its a few years old then get a new one because the economics does not work for me ie paying a ÂŁ100 repair bill when a new unit is ÂŁ160 to buy

ÂŁ160 to buy new what crap are you buying? (indesit)! as been doing this for 15+ years i get to pick and choose the jobs i do like rangemaster, smeg, miele etc, then custards dont mind paying 45 quid call out...
