Tidy Max

Hello all.

Spent the last fortnight quoting my first job, its a commercial AV installation. I am finally happy with my document HOWEVER, i am lost as to what to do about the 'Warranty' small print?

Ive included a break down of the price, to equipment, labour, and materials. I have done a premium and an economy price. I have mentioned that the quote is valid for 30 days. But what should i say regarding warranty? Should i even say anything?

The installed equipment is 2 projectors 2 screens (motorised) 2 zone PA system, wired + radio mics, and inputs around different areas. All of the gear is decent branded gear.

I realise this is probably something i should know but what is the standard warranty that tradesman give on gear? 2 Years?

Also if anyone has any other advice or pitfalls to avoid with a first quote then please chip in.

Thanks in advance AGAIN i openly admit that up to now you have helped me a lot more than i have been able to help anyone else. Sorry for being take take take!

Max

I normally give the equipment warranties to the customer when the job is finished and they're generally 12 months to 3 years but if anything goes wrong in the first 12 months i sort it for them, system q wouldn't sell any gear to one of my customers once unless i agreed to be a point of call and deal with any problems for 12 months
