Zion apparently means 'new Jerusalem' or something in some language from around that area, and if you rearrange the numbers in '2012' so it's actually '2102' then turn the last '2' 90° anticlockwise then it looks a bit like that's what it's saying.
I don't fully appreciate the significance but apparently some people find it offensive.
You can read more about it here if you're that interested, but I won't take offence if you don't.

I chose that profile picture for a somewhat less sinister reason - I reckon the logo for the 2012 olympics looks a bit like Lisa Simpson giving Bart a blowy so I trawled the internet for a version of the logo which is coloured accordingly.
