bs7671 is a guide at the end of the day and mustnt be taken as gospel as there will be mistakes in it.

It is extremely likely that non-compliance with BS7671 will be a breach of contract conditions in almost all cases.

And it is not an IET publication - it is a combined IET/BSI publication.
