child poverty, child obesity, social exclusion, seems they are working very hard indeed to ensure all of the above are helped on there way. penny pinching idiots. it`s disgusting.

25 kids a day x ÂŁ2.50 = ÂŁ62.50
council employee in london at ÂŁ6.20 per hour x 12 hours = ÂŁ74.40 (ÂŁ27k) average!!! 7 days a week

plus the chaps NI contributions and possible pension entitlement and holidays and sickness....!!
plus 220k for maintenance = ÂŁ250k so far

you need 100,000 kids to pass through gates officially before making a difference...!
and 10,800 kids just to pay the bloody wardens taxable pay not including extras as mentioned...!!!
Nice working Durham old son but the council that has introduced this policy - Wandsworth, will only be charging for weekends....... Yer right, cause they will the robbing B'stards. It won't be long before they charge at bank holidays, easter, 6 wks holiday etc etc.

wont be long befor you get fined for farting in a public place,,,,adding to polution and green house gases.....have to pay to go into a play ground,,wtf is happening to this country

This is absolutely appauling. Whoever had this idea should be sacked immediately, and then preferably ******** and burned.
How the HELL can they justify this? If the park's equipment cost too much to fun then here's an idea, why not flog it and put in swings and see saws and all that crap; kids don't give a ----, they just want a park. Now there's a lovely fancy park that no one can use because it's too expensive. Kids could get 10 regal and a pack of superglues for 2.50, and they'd have a lot more fun lol.

Just goes to show that there must be too many staff in Wandsworth with time on their hands.

Complete nonsense this idea - Turkeys wouldn't vote for Christmas and Public sector non jobs wouldn't make themselves redundant.

Its all just another scam, if your local council can prove the park is not being used by a certain amount of people they can apply to sell it.
so out of spite they are trying to charge people for the privalege of using there local park, the next thing will be you cant go in to a park unless you have kids. sorry mate no dogs the wife has to stay out side LOL.

Dont you just love it how they try to invent new jobs.
