Kitchen circuits

I wonder if anyone can help.

Every re-wire I have done I have put the kitchen on its own circuit (because of the load from extra appliances) its an obvious advantage but is there anything in the regs saying its compulsory if there is I cant find it ?

No there isnt. You could have 1/2 the kitchen on a ring with a bedroom above it if you wanted.

Its up to the designer

depends on size of kitchenand the owner letting you decide how you want to do it with minimizing inconvenience in the event of a fault....

Or you could put six sockets in the kitchen, each on a 6mm2 dedicated radial, each on it's own 32A MCB, in steel earth conduit, and then have RCD socket fronts.

Never seen it done but you could if you wanted ......
