UK Kitchen extractor hood fan not working?

This Candy CCE16/2X kitchen extractor hood fan is not working, the lights are still working but the fan itself is not. I know there’s a fair bit of grease on there as you can see but will that be the cause & are there any other things I can check myself to find out why?

favorite is the slider switch control board. the copper tracks burn through.

If it is just greased up, you will hear a buzzing or vibration on the motor when powered.

I have a megger dcm2033 multimeter to test the switch but where exactly do I put the probes on the switch?

not so simple. switch is a multiple output for 3 speeds.

Suggest you seek out the little circuit board and inspect the tracks and soldered joints to the pins - you may be able to see a faulty connection -
