hi Guys
Couple of questions if help could be advised.
I have an electric oven and electric to fit. I should have ratings sent pretty soon from work. I have seen some of these new cookers now and on the backs they state 7kw fit 32amp supply. Is this a bit of the norm these days. I have been used to fitting 10mm T&E to a connector unit and 10mm T&E from there to the cooker. In this senario now surely you can just run 2.5mm T&E seprate supply back to board.
Where the cooker and hob are seprate I know the regs state you can use one main switch to control both appliances what do most of you guys do in this scenario. I assume most seprate oven and hobs now come pre wired with flex, please correct me if I am wrong. Also will two flex's be fine from the one control unit. behind oven. Just some clarification please all this would be nice. I have been flicking through the O.S.G, still cant find that bit about the distance between sinks and outlets.
regarding placing the kitchen items sockets and spurs. I have 2 x double sockets to install plus the cooker control unit and a spur for the washing machine. problem is space in this kitchen.
the units measure from left to right cupboard at 400mm, then cooker and hob above it ie 600mm, then cupboard at 400mm, then cupboard with bowl for sink in at 600mm, then washing machine at 600mm with drainer it looks like above. then there is a side wall.
need to fit the above items somewhere above this work top area. I know you cant have sockets with in 300mm of the sink, does this include drainer or just the bowl section. Also is there a distance from hob where outlets can be placed, not refering to max distance of cooker switch from appliance.
