Kitchen Lighting

B

brizospark

Plans are afoot I have decided to put a new plasterboard ceiling up in my kitchen and I want to really push the boat out with the lighting.

I think going for standard downlights would be very narrow minded of me

Anybody got any ideas?

fit them in the ceiling. they don't look too good on the walls

sorry. 3watt led dowlights, GU10 fittings, gives youbest scope to alter lamps.

seriously, though. i would use GU 10 fittings. cheap, and the best choice of using led or cfl.

......but seriously, i once saw a ceiling which had been clad in that white tongue and groove stuff, and the lights were thin strip things which fitted into the tongue and groove between the planks, and went the full length of the ceiling, it looked really smart as well. when they were switched off they had a mirror finish, so they looked good on or off.
