No don't fit the socket for the washing machine in the cupboard next door and cut a hole for the plug, stick it right behind as the tenant is supplying the machine they can worry about it fouling on the back and sticking out.
However the plumbit can do whatever damage necessary cos he knows what he's on about and you are a c*ck. Couldn't even get it all level.

Yeah I did do a bit of glaring at him to clarify and he said its ok as I'm not living here lol. Also thought tv socket at around 1600 above ffl was too high as he apparently likes to lie down on the floor at home to watch tv so around skirting height would be good for him I think
