I have knee pads in my work trousers but knees still give me jip after being on them all day putting in power circuits etc. Some of it is needing to lose a stone or two but i'm only 28 and plan to do this for a while longer!! Anyone know of really good knee pads you wear over your trousers?!

There's some gel filled ones that aren't too bad. Got mine in Trago (don't ask, it's hell on earth) and they've lasted a while. The ones in the trouser knee pouch type end up as shin pads for me.

kneel on cushion or turn over as a stool. handles make it easy to get up after kneeling for ages.

i kneel d on a screw about 6 months ago and knee is shaboot now, actually went to doctors last week eventually and said its ripped tendan and send out invitation for scan then to repair it with keyhole surgery... will be glad when its done,, ps have a good gel set of knee pads and still dont wear them, so deserve it.

Got the Snickers ones about 25 quid had them for about four years now! When I forget to put them in on a Monday morning I know about it that night!
