Are good brand crimping tools like the Knipex range worth the extra cash over the 25 quid versions you see in most tool suppliers? Do they actually make a better stronger connection?

I bought some Facom ones from eBay after the grips kept slipping on my Knipex ones. I paid £39.99 plus about £5 postage and they were that good I bought a second set as a spare.

As a reference I paid over £100 for the knipex and they were good for a while but the grip issue became a problem for me. The Facom ones are used a lot and never had any problems with them.

i paid £19.99 from B&Q and thought they were crap til i read the instructions and found out you dont just match up red, blue, yellow dots. on these crimps there are also markings on the inside of the crimp jaws to assist you in assembling the crimp correctly, worked perfectly ever since.

The ones I first had never had instructions with them.
