Hi , firstly thanks to all who have posted. I have just finished my Pt P , 17th and 2392 and have found the information on here to be priceless.
My question surrounds the reg process for the schemes. I am about to embarke on a CU change and also a new install for a log cabin. In realtion to the inspection of my work , i have a couple of freinds who are expirienced electricians who would supervise my work , during the installation process. Would they , given they have seen the job from the start, be able to complete the EIC and therefore would this be acceptable to the schemes for reg purposes. Or is a new person such as myself required to complete the EIC myself , with or without supervision ?
Thanks for time for what will be , i'm sure , the first of many 'Can anyone help ' posts !!!!

to register witrh a scheme, you would have to fill out and sigh the EIC. whether or not you have supervision is up to you. with napit or elecsa, you can do the work, fill out the EIC/s, pass assessment, then notify to LABC through your chosen vulture.

Telectrix....thanks for reply....You answer has confirmed it to me. From my perspective it seesm everyone is out to make a £ from this ...with yours truely holding the wallet !!!

if you don't feel 100% competent to do these installs, by all means bring in a more experienced spark to assist. for assessment , job's got to be spot on. testing of the job is pretty big as well. be confident to use test equipment as if it were 2nd nature, and always follow GN3 etc. safe isolation & working.
