I bought one of these from screwfix two weeks ago. About ÂŁ45 if is remember right. Does most things I need it for and a lot more besides. Runs off batteries or ac adaptor provided and came in a decent carry case.

I have the Brother PT-E550WVP, its the best thing around. Prints anything you could think of. Does company logo and details. Warning labels, cable wraps and flags. Board labels inc safety stickers. Connects to app on your phone or laptop wireless.

Best investment, currently on offer at yesss with a discount on 17th book also
how much atat yess? ill have to make a special trip if its a bargin

It's ÂŁ129+vat same as labelzone, seems a lot for a label printer if I'm honest.

If It connects to your smartphone then surely all your using it for is the actual label printer? No need for a keyboard and display ?

I have a really basic Brother P-Touch 1090 label printer in my car for site work, it was incredibly cheap (around 6 UK Pounds) but it's survived about 3 years of abuse already and it's all I need for everyday labeling. I have a desktop label printer in my office which was expensive but it does bar-coding and heatshrink labels up to 100mm diameter etc and interfaces with a laptop.

Maybe go the same route with a cheapie for everyday use so there's no tears if it gets broken or goes missing and buy an all singing and dancing one for your office if the need arises in the future.

This would be my recommendation also. Basic but quality for everyday, save the big unit for the workship. You'll be kicking yourself if you sink hundreds into a fancy unit then drop it down a flight of stairs.

the only reason i would go for a cheap one is, we are always expected to use traffolyte labels and this is included in our spec.

the only time we use normal lables is on fcu, controllers etc or as temporary
