Hi folks
I've just identified as cause of lighting circuit tripping in consumer unit a low volts ceiling light with laride transformer taking in 240V 50Hz and output 12V 60VA with load 3 LEDs rated at 2.4W/ 300mA. This unit is only a few years old and not much used. What kind of lifetime should be expected for these?
The transformer now has continuity between input line and neutral. Certainly explains the trip. I don't know about transformer failure modes. Is this one typical? Are there any source for a replacement transformer anyone would recommend?
Thanks
