Hi All, I think I need to invest in a laser level / spot light grid marker, I've not had one or used one before, so I'm after any advice and recommendations.

I have a couple and one feature I find very useful is the integral magnet, which only one of mine the dewalt one has.
Go 'Green' for better visibility.

If not a decent laser level mount often has one and are a useful thing to have, allowing you to fine tune height.

Huepar seem all the rage at the mo, have a 3x360 myself and it seems to stand up well; had both leica and PLS before and they both broke, so was reluctant to spend big $. Only concern is a lot of china stuff doesn't come with the best batteries ever but the model I have will run off the USB if needed, so you can just use a powerbank/powertool battery adapter, that said the supplied battery is ok so far...

Millwaulkie is a good brand .stay away from Stanley.i often screw my wood saw to wall using hole at top of saw and am able to slide level up and down with magnet ,good for socket heights

I bought the Huepar S03CG-B from Amazon. It has one 360 degree horizontal laser and two vertical 360 degree lasers: this 360 degree arrangements is more versatile than cross line lasers. The green colour is more visible than red lasers.
I have checked the accuracy in horizontal and vertical planes and the laser level is well within the declared tolerance. The declared accuracy is +- 1/9 inch (+- 0.11 inches) at 33ft: actual measured accuracy was +-0.050 inches at 33 feet.
With the aid of a receiver, this can be used outside.
The lock position is useful for setting slopes outside when used with the laser receiver.
The two 360 degree vertical lasers allow a plumb position from floor to ceiling: useful for marking out downlight ceiling lights.

they have millions of model numbers; mine is the B03CG.

bought direct from huepar, charged in $ was a chunk cheaper. Albeit that was 4 years ago, but hey it's lasted okay.
