I'm after a laser level that does horizontal and vert but more importantly also puts a laser line on ceilings which helps when fitting lights. The only one i've seen do this is a dewalt one at about ÂŁ150 , Has anyone got any different makes/models that are a little cheaper and can recommend?

I bought a small black and decker one. Was only about ÂŁ5 I think from tesco. Had two spirit levels with a laser. Does the job, had a magnetic base and also a little spike. Though, last thing you want to do is spike a nice new ceiling lol.
Has been pretty useful esp for marking out loads of downlights in a straight line.

i've got the dewalt dw87 , and love it. for those times when you're alone and can't ping a line, and when you can't mark finished surfaces. It's also great for marking downlights in straight lines. The magnetic fixing is pretty useful too.

Hi Pal, Have you seen the new ones called FLAUTO. As well as a cross line on a wall it gives you a plumbpoint and also 90 degree cross lines on the ceiling brilliant for setting out. I think the model is called the GD20 and is about ÂŁ125. Hope this helps as it is far better for setting out than the other levels on the market.
