Hi,

Ive gotten behind on my paperwork over the last few months and have lapsed on my Part P notifications for jobs in that time.
I am an NICEIC approved contractor/domestic installer.
NICEIC class a submission older than 25 days past the works completion date as a 'late submission'.
It looks as if I can still submit the job but a big warning symbol comes up warning me that it is a late submission! eek
Im scared to submit the late jobs in case it gets me in trouble.
Does anyone know what happens if late submissions are issued on the NICEIC online notification website?

Thanks

My take on it is that a job isnt truly finished until all paperwork done etc so assuming you finished install 4 or 5 weeks prior you aint actually finshed till notified so just put that days date on it. Works for me

How the heck do you get behind? Every night when I get in, I do any certificates for the day and notify at the same time using the online thing at the point I do the certificate.

are you not doing your certificates at the time you do the job? Sounds like you are getting in a right mess!

just submit it with a later date, the nic wont care as long as the check clears

You don't know what else the OP may of had on his plate recently. If you've never had to put the paperwork off to prioritise something else you're very lucky. The fact he's asking suggests it's the first time he's been in this situation.

It's nice to be nice! :)

...Your recycling,washing-up,gardening and childrens' homework, better be bob-on to come out with that, fella :winkiss:

Not trying to be rude, just seems crazy that you would not do your certificates and submissions within 48 hours, it takes no more than 10 mins to do a full EIC with 10 circuits and submit it using the online system, I wouldnt say I'm lucky, I am just organised, you should see my office.

Give your ego a rest pal, constructive comments only thanks.

Ego? what? It was constructive, I was trying to point out that it only takes a few minutes out of your day to do them. How you run your business is up to you, but my business, as soon as the work is complete, that very day I do the certificate and invoice etc along with any other paperwork, print it off, bang it in an envelope and it goes in the post box the very next day 1st class as well as all being emailed over the same day.

I allocate a little bit of time every night just to do this, it looks professional and people like the fact that I am so efficient.
