First time I've come across this. Just putting some needles through the wall for acro props and it's running all over the place, though obviously not live anymore. House was built in mid 1800's. The connector block looks ceramic and was in the metal casing.
Thought I would post for anybody interested and could shine some light on when this sort of cable was used?

When we rewired Blackpool Town Hall in the 80's,it was still powered by the original cable.

Same was true of the John Rylands Library in Manc. I wish I could have saved a worthwhile chunk of either of those. Meantime, Lozarus wants to save some of the OP's cable and I want to save the box.

I spent this morning scrobbling about under the floor trying to find it , I took the picture and then lobbed it!
Anyway I've found it and you are welcome to it @Lucien Nunes

Also the other chap who wanted some of the cable send me a PM with an address to send it to.

Don't worry about beer tokens, but if you want to make a small donation to the lifeboats it would be appreciated. https://rnli.org/

Anything else I find I will now put to one side in case anybody can make use of it!

Thank you. Do you happen to have the clamps? I'd want to display it with some replacement cable installed. If I get home today I might have a peek at the Henley catalogue as I can't recall this style being listed.

I have one of the clamps. I'll look in the morning to see if the other one is about. It can't be far away!
