Learning electrical motors

Hi, I’m Not getting enough torque on startup to turn pump. Turns pump successfully maybe 1 in 6 times on startup and then fine at full speed. Currently connected in star as per plate, 400V. Ran from a three phase inverter. Should this be wired delta? Still very much learning.

A VSD then. if it says 230V in and 400V out then the motor should be connected star.
This is a bit more of an 'upmarket' VSD than the ones I have used, but on the cheaper ones there's loads of parameters to set up.

Most single phase Input vsd have a 3 phase output of 230v between phases.
therefore a delta connection at the motor would be correct.

Is this inverter being fed from a 400v 3 phase supply?
if not then what is it being supplied with?
