Looking to get a fair amount of LED ceiling lights. I know some of you swear by particular makes. I've been browsing the JCC site which i was comfortable on and looking at the FGLED6 new range. They look impressive especially the fire rated range. Are they good to install and reliable? From what I can see 3 options re finish and 2 re light output. The thing is though, cost has to come into equation. I've just tried to have a look at the LED HUT site but wasn't comfortable on that site, seems hard work getting around looking for products. any how any advice pointers etc. Thanks

Have to agree - I'd be using my wholesaler and screwing them down on price. Did a house with 40+ in and a few fittings failed. It was easy for there wholesaler to exchange them. I'd not be wanting to constantly be posting them back to the LED hut for a replacement.

Halers and Robus are fine too.

Thanks for replies. As I've not installed LED d/lighters before. I'm concerned about the insulation that will be covering the lights. As you know upstairs lights will have loads directly above them. JCC have a good selling point re there driver is enclosed on the can. What action, precautions should I take if installing other makes? Do you guys move the insulation away from each and every light?

In a word - Yes.

In a word - Yes.

Not to sure about this..but what about the driver itself. does that get hot / warm? Am I worrying to much about the insulation?
The house will have ceiling insulation downstairs as well, mainly to reduce heat loss but also reduce noise. Approx 50 LED fittings downstairs alone. Therefore defeating the object. Was a lot easier when I was on the tools............Just a light fitting in middle of the room and if you were posh a couple of wall lights thrown in also!

Hey OP,
we deal with LED panel lights from MLA knightsbridge, these ones in particular in 5 watt and 9 watt:
https://www.mlaccessories.co.uk/pro...panel-lamp-comes-with-integrated-driver-4000k
fitted directly to mains, the driver is inbuilt and are very slim.
They are very nice, we sell alot of them in our shop, there is very similar ones on eBay but not as good quality, some people might not like MLA, we've only ever had a problem with one of there products which we stopped stocking.
They also do the fire rated downlights, if you private message me i can give you more info about who we are and costs if your interested.
