Evening all, i`m pricing a rewire which is to have 42 LED downlights. Can anyone recommend a fairly decent product ( cant be too pricey )

I`m quite immpressed with JCC FIREGAURD LED7 ones but boy are they expensive.

The LED7s are very good and for ÂŁ30 I think they're the best 50watt replacements

My local wholesaler has also started stocking the LED3 (35/40watt) versions for ÂŁ20 a pop, and they still have the 10 year warranty and fantastic finish.

Slightly cheaper is any fire rated downlight + a LED lamp, those will cost about ÂŁ18 each

Was looking at the new LED 3 ones today, only thing they not dimmable.

What Brand are you talking about mate "fire rated and Lamp"?

Just let the customer know that they come with a 10 year warranty and let them go and buy them from your wholesaler.

Expensive but nice and easy to fit and look good.

Does anyone else notice a barely detectable flicker with replacement GU10's? Not like a dodgy fluorescent, much higher frequency, they just make things look odd, sort of detached, and fast moving objects make it more obvious. (Strobe effect)

I'm guessing it's to do with the rectification, but a shame as they are perfect in every other way

Just to bear in mind the 10 year warranty only stands If your customer registers them online with Jcc.
I found that out this week by misfortune ! Also fitted some of the led 3 which were very impressive !

The jcc's are horrible to fit, for me it's halers!

I could never get the Halers to go in without them ejecting their bezels, which look pants for the amount they cost! Also hate having to supply a additional JB or similar to squeeze in :uhoh2:

Take a look at tlc-direct.co.uk. LEDlite downlighters are dimmable, fire rated, IP66, wide angle beam, interchangable bezels and 547 lumens output @ less than ÂŁ30 each.

I use the JCC fire guard or Sylvania then I swear by Next Gen LED's, I filled a barn conversion with them in feb and just put 18 in a bungalow? Brilliant light output, the lamps are 12.99 each though!
