I have a problem with LED light fittings failing on a school (newly installed 3 year ago). About 100 fittings have failed now. You would expect the fittings to be of reasonable quaility, the manufacturer is a big UK one (who shall remain nameless). The manufacturer is suggesting it is a power quality issue. This does not seem right to me as it is only 1 type of fittings failing (other models of LED fittings onsite are fine), and none of the IT/AV equipment has any issues. There is a combined type 1/type 2 SPD installed at the origin.

Anyone had anything like this and got any advice?

Thanks.

Just replaced 400 600x600 flat panel LEDs.

Supplier finally agreed they were faulty, approx 5% had developed faults due to localised overheating causing initially flickering then dark spots on the panel.

Had to jump through the PQA hoops first followed by on site installation inspection by supplier before they had to admit to the design fault.

As the supplier has made good the situation , paid for new panels and fitting, naming and shaming seems a little inappropriate.
