Hi
I have had a couple of occasions recently when fitting LED lights that I have been called back due to them tripping the MCB on start up. The first was after fitting 12 Haler downlights, I changed the MCB and had no problem since. The second was after fitting 5 x 40w panels into a commercial kitchen. I have changed the MCB - no change. I have tried to test the inrush current, i think it must be too quick for my meter to pick up. I am going to try a "c" curve MCB to see if this solves the problem. I have tested to circuit & all is good.
Does anybody know if these LEDs have a high startup current?
