Hi all

Is it perfectly acceptable to have a 230v mains socket under the bath to power some low voltage led spot lights around the bath panel or has any 1 else got a better idea

what about the possible junction boxes under the flooring for the ground floor lighting thats under the bath ??? they might also get wet ! FFS

many a times seen sockets and spurs fitted underneath for powering shower pumps etc...

Come on guys - take a step back.

You have to comply with 701 in a "room containing a bath or shower".
You can't have a socket within 3 meters of a bath or shower.
As is pointed out it's not in a zone if the bath panel needs a tool but that doesn't mean that the other rules don't apply.
The only switch you can use is a pull cord so put the transformer up in the ceiling space (how were you thinking of switching it?).
