LED strip in shower

Hi all,

I’m in the process of installing an en suite with a shower enclosure. I’ve created a recess inside the shower which will be fully tiled and sealed with moisture board behind.

I’d like to put an LED strip on the rear underside of the recess. What’s the best way to make this as safe as possible? I appreciate water and electric don’t mix so want to make this as safe as possible.

My thoughts were IP65 rated LED strip encapsulated in a housing of some sort with the wires completely behind all tiling and within the void space between the walls then fed up into the loft.

I’d be grateful for your views?

Built into the tile trim is one way? It will be 12 or 24v selv source ...... There are proprietary products available.
Supply to led driver 230v RCD proteced.

701.55 (i) says it has to be suitable for that use according to the manufacturers instructions - so buy carefully!

12V or 24V LED strip light might be the suitable solution, and IP65 might be fine solution, but IP67 or IP68 is strongly recommended.

Then use IP67 or IP68 LED Strip(these are widely used in Souna application before), or nano coating LED strip light(but quite difficult to obtain at UK)
