Hi everyone,

On my Hiace the roof LEDs are triggered by the side door that breaks the ground, not the positive wire. I want to also have an option to constantly power them off my Bluetti battery, i.e. when the key is not in.

I'll have a 3-position rocker switch to choose between 3 modes:
1. LEDs off
2. LEDs powered off the vehicle battery and triggered by the door
3. LEDs powered constantly off the Bluetti battery

Am I up to any trouble if I wire it like this?

Cheers!

I had a Boxer van and found the battery was draining from the lights- I added LED ones and after the battery issues I found out the vehicle managment effectively messed about with grounds to switch the lights off and if you took a feed from the light it was on.

I ended up buying a Schneider cam switch with a lever and put one on the rear door and one on the side door to break the feed to the new lights - worked a treat
