ambi apart from writing

Me too.

My Dad was a leftie and Mum a righty and as an infant I instinctively held crayon / pencil / chalk in my left hand and nobody had a problem with this choice.

Then I started school and that was ok for a while until we started to learn to write. The teacher decided that she wanted me to write using my right hand and stood behind me punching and digging her knuckle into my back forcing me to hold the pencil in my right hand. This happened day after miserable day and my back was a mass of bruises.

It got to the point where I refused to go to school, but in those days Mum was the boss and she dragged me there. Nobody bothered to find out why I didn't want to go and so the abuse continued, until finally somebody noticed all the bruises and I told Dad what was happening. He went and had words with the headmistress and the bullying and abuse (that's what it was) stopped, but by then I was writing with my right hand - I had been broken and now I was fully compliant.

All of that happened in 1955 and I can still remember the teacher's name and see her ugly face even today, and I swear if she were still alive she wouldn't be for much longer. I could happily hunt her down and strangle her.

Anyway, the upshot of it is that I write with my right hand and use either hand for anything else quite comfortably and I have a burning hatred for authority in any shape or form.

Well done Miss Traynor - you ****ing bitch !!

No one ever believes us!

RH for everything apart from holding a Pool cue, what's occurring there?

had that conversation with the gorgeous Indian girl in the village shop yesterday, I winced as I lifted the Stella up onto the counter and apologised as I said I had been doing quite alot of screwing today, and it certainly makes for excellent wrist muscles but possibly arthiritis in later years. Shes a bit naughty anyway so that was a red rag
