[ElectriciansForums.net] Lending Tools Out.
he swore he'd not left it outside in the rain. bloody liar.

I think as an electrician we invest too much money in tools to lend them out to other trades. When i look at a plumbers tool bag covered in flux and strewn everywhere i wince. What i hate is when people look at you funny when you tell them no, when they want to borrow something.

This is the same plane after 1 hour's refurb.

If i'd spent an hour on a plane,i'd want to be somewhere warmer by now...:sunny:

If my Nielsen low angle came back like that,i would be sending him video of me buffing me prostate with his toothbrush...2nd class post, being fine...

think i might be buffing his gonads with my wire brush tomorrow.

i'm a stickler for looking after tools. i still have my grandfather's lathe. it has a new chuck, a new bed, new motor, new gear box, new base, but it's still my grandad's lathe.

Just tell them that you were just about to use it yourself. The most common thing I get asked to lend out is a tape measure. I always say no or say I'm using it, I cannot stand the thought of it being let to fully retract itself at high speed and hearing the hook smashing back against the housing. :veryangry2:

...and if you were wanting to ping either my new Milwaukee mag tape or the missus nips...you'd be wrestling with a bra catch, about now...

Have you been taking lessons off of Trigger from OF&H "my brush is still the one I was issued with, it's had 7 new heads and 7 new handles" classic

I would say it is more about the bits than the torque of the drill. I use high quality Fisch auger bits for drilling out mortices and peg holes...
