Light Flickering and LED won't fit in holes

Hi all.
I have a few issues:

- I bought an LED spotlight which is 50w (Input power 7.8w) 240v, but it flickers when I turn the lights on. There are 2 other older bulbs in the circuit which are 12v 20w..... When I take these other two out and just leave the new 50w LED bulb in it still flickers. There is no dimmer switch for these 3 lights. Also, when I look online for 12v 20w bulbs the only bulbs that come up are halogen. So what bulb do I need to buy to stop the flickering, I want LED, not halogen.

- Second issue is that in another area of my home, the LED bulb prongs that I bought don't fit in to the holes on the fitting. The bulb prongs are just ever so slightly too far apart to fit in the holes no matter what way I try to put it in. Also, what holes should it actually fit in to (see image)? I have tried all holes.

First, you can’t run a 240v bulb with only a 12v supply. You need a 12v bulb.

just have to keep looking. There are LED bulbs now for every type of normal incandescent or halogen. Don’t search for the W value, just the voltage and the cap type. (The shape of the pins that the bulb plugs into)

in the second question, I don’t think that is a specific lamp holder. Just seems to be a connector socket.

The existing lamps are 12v and you'll have a transformer in circuit.
You'll need to change the transformer for a LED driver as it is not compatible and can cause flickering.

The lampholder needs changing to a GU5.3 lampholder as not sure what you currently have?

If I'm reading it correctly, you have 3No. 7.8watt LED lamps (I doubt they are 50w) so will need a 25w (or higher rated) led driver.

Ah ok I was searching for the W. Now I have searched for 12v LED and I can see some options. They seem quite pricey though.

Regarding the connector socket. What do I need to buy for this so I can fit a LED bulb?

you need to take the transformers out, feed the 240V directly into a GU10 lampholder, observing safety and regulations concerning connections. then fif GU 10 lamps/bulbs.
