The shed is about 3m from the house so ill gaffer tape the extension leads to the washing line but what lights do you guys recommend?

If the washing line is plastic coated steel then no need for the cable, whack a stake in the ground at the shed for N and E and use the washing line as the live. Voila, a home made TNC supply.

Aye, that's all very well but what if he wants to put the light on at night when it's dark??? :smilielol5:

You won't electrocute yourself, but you might burn the shed down.
Dangerous places, sheds.

What a stupid question! "Gaffer tape"???? Need to use metal cable ties now, keep up with the regs!!!

As for lights? You should go for 6 x 500w sodium floodlights. That extension cord will be ok, I think?????

...You can joke, but me mates grandad,jump-started his vehicles, using one positive lead, and touching the front bumpers together! If i remember,he had an old Cavalier and a Viva,so,chrome bumpers all round...

...Nice black dots and rusty marks, but he always got to his Lodge meetings...:icon12:

Nowt wrong with Gaffer Tape.

It's been fixing things from broken microphone stands through Roadies ripped jeans to burst truck radiator hoses, shredded fan belts and anything and everything between for decades and will still be doing so long after the new fangled metal cable ties have rusted into oblivion!

The kind of bloke that will be buying you a pint next week when I'm working in your area 'like'! Lets see if Trev is available and we can all chew the fat over a beer. First round is on me.

Yeah, after making that post I kinda regretted it cause I know someone somewhere will probably try it. I think this thread will probably disappear once it's well and truly April the 2nd.

Deleted by the mod that started it!

It was not any of the staff that started this thread Murdoch. It was a high post count Arms memberhaving a laugh. Wow! he should be banned for having a sense of humor!?!?!?

He should have made that clear at the outset
We could have answered his question without him being embarrassed and poked fun of in the open forum
