Hi
I’m in the process of swapping over a fluorescent light to an LED light in my fathers garage, and stupidly forgot to take a photo of the wiring before I disconnected the original light?.
I’m wiring it in through a connector block as he wants the option of maybe adding another one at a later date. My question is could somebody please help me regarding connecting the wires?
I’ve attached some photos which I hope will help
Which coloured wires need to be connected together? I should add it’s a one way switch in the garage. A big thanks in anticipation
Craig

The blue with the brown sleeve is live, blue is neutral the green/yellow are earths. What do you mean connecting by connector block.

what he said^^^^^. and the 2 browns stay as they are, not connected to the light itself. make sure the earths are connected together. (probably a terminal marked E in the light for these).

Is that 32amp rated joint box your connection block?
and...Will you have access to it on completion?

needs replacing with a smaller one. or even better a quickwire . it's accessible surface mountedon the timber.

Cables entering the luminaire with connections internal would be the way, though.

The surface clipping needs tidying up too.

agreed . the clip nails should be below the lower cable and above the upper cable. they'e cables, not railway tracks.
