Lighting circuits and the switching?!

I'm learning the trade and I'm curious to how general switching to pendants operate and what's the principles and theoretical views post diagrams too if you could

I'm 18 and I'm a fully qualified alarm engineer and fit alarms regular and now i want to become an fully qualified electrician to the 17th edition and I'm gonna start college in September and I don't have my own business I work for an electrical company who I fit alarms for and I am also learning the electrical trade.

"Fully qualified" and "engineer" simply don't go together at 18 years old. I was only half way through my apprenticeship at that age, and I started at 16.

Crack on....you'll be a fully qualified electrical engineer at 20.

It wasn't a course in electrics it was a course the solely revolved around alarm systems.

You'd have thought so wouldn't you? It doesn't seem like a very 'exclusive area' when someone who doesn't know how to wire a light can get in after a couple of months on the forum and 39 posts (no offence).

It's probably because I didn't ask to get in the pub pal just the alarms sector, I don't see what's wrong with coming on here and asking the questions everyone had to start somewhere

I didn't say they didn't, but most of us started at college, not asking the basics on an internet forum.

No sorry never, it is very basic and something I wouldn't let a member of the public know who could endanger their family if they tried to do this DIY style without training, by the way, how did you get into the pub? I may have to resign from there if your not removed after this question, and to add, I would suggest you call an electrician should you need some work carrying out on a lighting circuit in your home.

Fair enough, have you tried asking the mods to let you into the trainee forum, you may not get such a hard time in there if we know you are a trainee?

Haha I know but what use would it be talking to other trainees you need to talk to experienced people.

there are several very experienced Electricians and engineers in there who are there to help trainees, the actual trainees ask the questions and don't answer them.
