hey, im after some recomendations, currently got 12 gu10 50w spots in a hair salon, there a warm white and not really bright enough, how much difference would cool white lamps make? also what about LED's any recomendations?

Do Heathfield have a site? As wife also has a salon and could do with changing from gu10 halogens. And save on the leccy bill.

I have been using these ones from Aurora, generally Ok if a bit on the expensive side to buy up front but pay from themselves over lifespan.

Aurora - 'Passionate about Lighting' they put out about 400 lumens and after a while didn't notice a difference from normal Halogen GU10's output. Still waiting for a standard size GU10 LED with this output.

No secret, company called Heathfield LED but there are other brand lamps out there also that are standard GU10 size, just need to be careful

I checked their website, they an on line wholesaler, they do not product their own lamps. Also this lamp is like the holy grail of LED lamps if I had one I would be shouting about it. Philips Osram etc don't have one and neither does any body else the best I have heard about is a 7W GU10 in this size with a Cree chip in it which gives about 400lms, but isn't available yet :( .

guess we'll all have to stay in the dark for a little longer!

Online wholesaler? oh I didn't know they had an online shop never saw that one!!! We just buy their LED tubes and lamps because they are good quality, never had a failure in over a year!! But I can assure you I have a 5w lamp giving 400-466 lumens at 6000k, we had tests done it!! I think the problem with big companies is it takes them ages to produce something new where as smaller companies are more flexible and work with you better on finding a solution.
