Hi, I have just moved in to a flat in South London and noticed several of the lights weren't working. I changed the bulbs and although some then worked, there are 2 in my hall that won't - even though these bulbs work in other rooms. I checked the fuses and they seem to be fine. Is there anything else I can try myself before I call an electrician? Thanks.

For a forum possible solution please state the type of bulbs you have been fitting, certain types have there own issues and solutions but may require an electrician to repair/replace parts necessary to be safe.
Ill have a guess at low voltage recess spots :elvis:

Bulbs?? bulbs grow in the garden! Do you have any test equipment (wondering how you checked the fuses?)
Sounds like you have no supply to the fittings in the hall, you could invest in a non contact voltage stick and see if glows remember to flick the light switch!
If you were in Plymouth I'd of dropped by....
