I wire my basement and I have a room where the lights come on but are dim, they eventually get to full strength. Any thoughts on why this one room would do that.
It is set up with 8 canister lights in the ceiling on a regular switch. no dimmer.

If the canister lights are fitted with old style energy-saving compact fluorescent lamps (CFL), what you describe can be normal behaviour for that type of light. Changing the bulbs for a more modern version would improve the issue. If you have LED or filament bulbs, I can't explain it.

123 - you beat me too it. I'll have to stop bothering with punctuation 🤣
