limitations for condition report

What limitations do people do on a condition report. Such as 20percent of accessories removed.

It depends on what you find when you open up the sample percentage. If you find loads of problems you open more up.

I hope i've got this page right, don't have the GN3 to hand but im pretty sure its GN3 page 70 - ive referenced it that many times.

I've gone as low as 10% before but that was on a pretty new install with no evidence of alteration or DIY.

Hi David - Suggestions like: Accessories behind large items of furniture or large appliances in the kitchen have not been inspected or tested, in some instances a limitation on the central heating system wiring and controls have not been tested. Others like a limitation on Insulation Resistance tests on 'live' conductors if all loads cannot be removed safely. Remember the limitations are what you have discussed with your client prior to starting the work (what you would have priced for) and working limitations are limitations you have had to put in place once onsite in order not to cause damage to the property (for example removing down lighters or removing the bath panel to inspect of supplementary bonding - however verification for this can be made by tests)

you can start at 10% on a sampling....this would be 10% of each circuit...if you find any nonsense (like behind fronts etc) then you up the ante to 20%...just to prove its an isolated issue...if theres more evidence of nonsense then it goes to 50%....and so on.....
