Im going to be doing some work at a stable yard. Just checking some details before i commence.

30ma rcd on sockets not exceeding 32a
All other circuits 300 ma rcd protection.

Im going to use 30ma rcbo for all circuits.

10mm bonding to extraneous conductive parts and exposed conductive parts.

If the ELI is ok is it still recommended to use a rod as an addition?

Do i have to use galv conduit for the drops or is platic ok?? if the cables are out of reach of horses then i dont need additional protection by means of conduit?

Thanks robo

I agree changin the house db my unleash some un wanted problems. Am i right in thinking you have to have more than 1 lighting circuit in the house? in case of an rcd trip.

This isnt my assessment. my mate has niceic and does the testing part.

Split tails and henlly block into a time delay rcd. Out of rcd with 10mm feed to garage. Either using swa or Tand E. As the garage would be a sub main my mate said i could run a 10mm bond from MET to my new board in garage and this will make it tnc-s? Small board in garage with rcbo on lights and rcbo on radial sockets. Then a 32s mcb to stables. Dont connet cpc or swa at stable side. prevents transporting the earth. Use rod as stable earth with a 10mm earth to board.

Does this all slund ok in the eyes of the power at be.

Cheers
