a good catenary should hold it, but it may pull the chimney down in a fair wind.

When you say surveyor this suggests a survey (which I'm assuming would include a risk assessment) has already been done. What was in the survey results?....told by surveyor "overhead not a problem"

I think raw bolts for the hook plate on the chimmney at least or anyone got any better suggestions
With 2 x 20meter lengths of 6mm x 3 core SWA I would get a structural engineer in to sign off a satisfactory spec. There's a very good chance a chimney won't support the load.
I agree, not going ahead with it, its very exposed and a strong wind will put to much load on the chimmney.
