Trying to find an armoured cable behind plasterboard and studding.
It was used to supply power from the house but has been disconnected
Can someone suggest a probe or device to find it.
There are screws in the PB and copper pipes on the ground behind the PB and twin core for sockets, but I know where they run.
I have an AMProbe AM 560 multimeter is there is an adaptor for this?

When cables are some way into the wall, I haven't found stud/cable locators much help in the past.
Borescope/endoscope camera - usb attachment for phone under £10. Handheld unit about £25.
Either might reduce the number of holes in the wall!

On the other hand if you can connect a signal to the disconnected cable, there's kit (which doesn't include your multimeter)!
I'm not sure how sensitive the above is - there are similar cheaper alternatives!

If it's an armoured cable you'll be better off borrowing a metal detector.
