lock a PowerPoint on

I have been requested to lock a PowerPoint on for a freezer. so it cant be turned off or unplugged.

The only way I can think to do this is a weatherproof enclosure with a clear lid and padlock on it.

But my question is this legal to have a PowerPoint locked in an on position ??

Put it on a fused outlet, someone will have to be pretty determined to unscrew the fuse holder to turn the freezer off.

I thought the idea was that switches should be accessible in case the appliance catches fire (for example)

I would think H&S for certain situations would demand that electrical appliance be able to be isolated.... as Avo says above..

And the easiest way to isolate in an emergency, is to pull the plug if theres no readily available switch
